Precision that makes the difference

Nanomag SmCo pole wheels set new standards in mechanical precision. Thanks to unique runout compensation during magnetisation, we achieve geometric runout errors of ≤ 20 µm – the best values on the market. Compared to sintered or elastomer-based alternatives, we minimise the contribution of the pole wheel to the overall system runout by at least 10 µm and relieve the application axis by 20–50 µm. The result: higher system accuracy with simultaneously lower manufacturing costs for the customer.

Extremely robust – even under the toughest conditions

Vibration at -50 °C to +300 °C, years of exposure to aggressive media (brake fluid, oils, coolants, saltwater, bases) – our SmCo pole wheels remain stable. In direct comparison tests, they retain > 94% of the magnetic field strength and show no change in runout. Sintered NdFeB or ferrite rings as well as elastomer solutions significantly lose performance or fail mechanically here. Nanomag pole wheels hold firm where others give way.

Lightweight construction at the highest level – delicate yet highly stable

Nanomag SmCo-Poles combine exceptional delicacy with uncompromised mechanical stability. The thin, high-performance samarium-cobalt magnetic layer on a precise carrier allows for significantly reduced wall thicknesses and a noticeably lower weight compared to other solutions. This noticeably reduces the required installation space, minimizes the moment of inertia, and achieves higher dynamics with lower energy consumption – all while maintaining the highest precision and runout stability. Perfectly suited for drones, lightweight robots, cobots, and all high-dynamic applications where every gram counts.
